The way you stage your home can go a long way in helping it to sell. Potential buyers need to be able to picture themselves at home in your property—and that’s especially true of the bedroom, where they’ll be spending a large chunk of time relaxing (and, of course, sleeping!).
But staging can be expensive. So how do you up your bedroom’s appeal and make it look more attractive to buyers—without spending an arm and a leg?
A recent article from Apartment Therapy outlines some quick, easy, and affordable tips for making your bedroom look more luxe and expensive (and upping its appeal to buyers in the process), including:
- Switch out your hardware. Changing the hardware on your dresser, nightstand, or other furniture is an instant (and cheap!) upgrade that will breathe new life into the space and make it more attractive to buyers.
- Add a throw blanket. If you don’t have the budget to invest in an entirely new bedding set, a throw blanket is a great way to add visual interest to the room and make it feel more styled.
- Upgrade your lighting. The right lighting can completely transform a room. In addition to overhead lights, invest in a few on-trend lamps to place around the room; not only will the added lighting make the room feel brighter, but the lamps will also add a more styled feel to the room.
Bottom line? Staging your bedroom can make a huge impact on buyers. And with the right staging strategy? You don’t have to blow your budget to make that impact.
